Radial Shockwave Therapy

Radial Shockwave Therapy
Developed from lithotripsy. Good quality research is supportive of the shock wave therapy , particularly in recalcitrant plantar fasciitis, lateral hip pain, lower limb tendinopathy and calcific tendonitis of the shoulder.
The UK National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (www.nice.org.uk) recognises it has potential for high clinical impact in these areas.
It is a safe modality that can be helpful most especially when combined with sound clinical reasoning and tailored exercise program. A treatment course involves 3 to 6 sessions.
See https://www.storzmedical.com/disciplines/orthopaedics/literature.html for overview.
There is an additional $25 fee on top of standard consultation fee for this therapy.
